Madiun Official Goes Viral for Playing Game During DPRD Plenary Session, Who Is He?

A video has gone viral on social media showing a man, believed to be an official, engrossed in playing a game during a plenary session of the Madiun Regency DPRD. In the 18-second video, a man wearing a black suit and peci is seen focusing intently on his mobile phone screen, which displays the visuals of an online game. The man appeared very serious while playing on his phone, even as the solemn atmosphere of the plenary session could be heard in the background. The official’s actions drew widespread criticism from netizens. Madiun Regency DPRD member Purwadi stated that the official was not a council member. ‘That is not a council member. That is a district head. We were all shocked to see the viral video,’ Purwadi said, as reported by detik.com on Saturday (17/7). A similar statement was made by Anang Sujatno, a member of the Madiun DPRD. He also issued the same denial. Anang confirmed that the man caught on camera playing the game was the Camat of Madiun. ‘No. That is not a DPRD member, but the Camat of Madiun,’ Anang asserted.
