Madiun Mayor Urges Discipline and Accountability in OSS Licensing Implementation
In an effort to balance the accelerating development of Madiun City alongside the growing number of business operators, the local government held a socialisation event on the standard operating procedures for implementing the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
Madiun Mayor Dr Maidi emphasised the importance of speed and accountability in the OSS-based licensing process. He made the remarks during the SOP socialisation event held together with the coordination and technical teams of Madiun City's licensing division on Tuesday (10 June).
The event took place at Aula Ayam Pemuda and was attended by officials from the Madiun City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP). Mayor Maidi and Deputy Mayor F. Bagus Panuntun joined the proceedings online.
In his address delivered via Zoom, Maidi stressed that the simplification of licensing processes must remain in accordance with prevailing regulations, thereby providing ease for business operators without disregarding applicable legal provisions.
"All licensing must comply with the rules. Those rules must be in order with the relevant ministries. Everything that passes through licensing must comply with the law, and officials must be accountable until their retirement," he said.
The mayor added that the ease of accessing licensing services through online platforms has simplified the entire process. He also reminded all civil servants of the importance of discipline and integrity in carrying out their duties, particularly in delivering public services.
"Carry out every task earnestly and in accordance with the rules. Work with enthusiasm without having to be told, and remain disciplined even without supervision," he added.
It is hoped that through this event, all personnel involved in licensing services in Madiun City will be able to implement the OSS system optimally in accordance with prevailing legislation.
