In an effort to balance the accelerating development of Madiun City alongside the growing number of business operators, the local government held a socialisation event for the standard operating procedures (SOP) for Online Single Submission (OSS) implementation.

Madiun Mayor Dr Maidi emphasised the importance of speed and accountability in the OSS-based licensing process. He made the remarks during the OSS SOP socialisation event attended by the city's coordination and technical licensing teams on Tuesday (10 June).

The event was held at the Ayam Pemuda Hall and attended by officials from the Madiun City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP). Mayor Maidi and Deputy Mayor F. Bagus Panuntun joined the event virtually.

In his address delivered via Zoom, Maidi stressed that the simplification of licensing processes must remain in accordance with prevailing regulations, ensuring ease of access for business operators without disregarding applicable legal provisions.

"All licensing must adhere to the rules. The rules must be properly aligned with ministerial requirements. Everything that passes through the licensing process must comply with the law, and officers must be accountable until they retire," he said.

The mayor added that the ease of accessing licensing services through online platforms has simplified the entire process. He also reminded all officials of the importance of discipline and integrity in carrying out their duties, particularly in delivering public services.

"Carry out every task earnestly and in accordance with the rules. Work with enthusiasm without having to be told, and remain disciplined even without supervision," he added.

Through the event, it is hoped that all personnel involved in licensing services in Madiun City will be able to implement the OSS system optimally in accordance with prevailing legislation.
