Madiun City Government Promotes Creative Economy MSME Products Through Teras Kriya 2026
The Madiun City Government in East Java is promoting flagship creative economy products from local MSMEs and small-to-medium industries through the Teras Kriya 2026 exhibition, held at the Dekranasda Building.
Head of the Manpower, Cooperatives, and SMEs Office of Madiun City, Ahsan Sri Hasto, stated on Saturday that Teras Kriya is designed as a space for promotion, education, and collaboration, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs whilst expanding the market reach of local products.
“Through Teras Kriya 2026, which carries the theme ‘Boundless Creativity, Quality Local Products’, we want to ignite the spirit of entrepreneurs to dare to innovate beyond conventional limits without compromising the quality standards of their products. We want to prove that local products have appeal and quality on par with modern products,” he said.
According to him, 30 MSMEs and small-to-medium industries are participating, presenting a variety of crafts, fashion, accessories, and culinary specialities from Madiun City.
In addition to local products, visitors can also take part in various activities such as technical guidance on implementing green industry standards, a talk show on ‘Empowered Women in Entrepreneurship’, craft workshops, a coffee sharing session, a children’s colouring competition, and musical entertainment.
Ahsan added that the event also aims to foster a healthy competitive climate among MSMEs and artisans, including through improvements in product quality, innovation, and packaging aesthetics.
“Thus, business actors are expected to level up and expand their insights and markets to the national and even international level.”
Meanwhile, Acting Mayor of Madiun, F. Bagus Panuntun, affirmed that the Madiun City Government will continue to support the development of MSMEs as one of the pillars of the economy and tourism.
“MSMEs must be prepared because today the city government is serious about developing tourism. MSMEs, as supporting elements, must prepare themselves in terms of quality,” said the Acting Mayor.
The Teras Kriya 2026 Madiun City event runs for three days, from 3 to 5 July 2026. The craft exhibition is held to enliven the 108th anniversary of Madiun City.
