Madinah Governor Inspects Hajj Pilgrims' Reception Facilities
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MADINAH – The Governor of Madinah and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Hajj and Umrah in the region, Prince Salman bin Sultan, emphasised that Saudi Arabia has mobilised all its resources to serve Hajj pilgrims. Saudi Arabia is making maximum efforts to assist them in performing their worship easily and peacefully. This aligns with the kingdom’s long-term commitment to caring for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as well as visitors.
The statement was made during an inspection of the Hajj Reception and Receiving Centre at Hijrah Road in Madinah on Monday (11/5/2026). He was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Saud bin Nahar, and several senior officials.
Prince Salman stated that the sustainable development of the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem is the result of strong support and continuous directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman. He emphasised their commitment to improving services for pilgrims, facilitating their journeys from arrival to departure, and reflecting the kingdom’s attention to visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
During the visit, the governor reviewed the readiness of the service centre and various facilities provided to pilgrims arriving in Madinah via Hijrah Road. This includes arrival completion procedures and ease of transportation to their accommodations.
This visit is part of the governor’s ongoing field inspections to monitor services for pilgrims and evaluate preparedness. Additionally, the quality of services provided by various relevant parties aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Programme.
