Madinah Emir: Serving Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims is a Profound Commitment for Saudi Arabia
Madinah – The Emir of Madinah, Prince Salman bin Sultan, has emphasised that serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims as well as visitors is a profound commitment and obligation borne by Saudi Arabia’s leadership since the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He conveyed this during the inauguration of the third Umrah and Ziyarah Forum at the King Salman International Convention Centre in Madinah on Monday.
This three-day event is organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Programme.
“Serving Hajj pilgrims and visitors is not a temporary responsibility, but an authentic approach that forms the basis of the Kingdom’s establishment since its unification by King Abdul Aziz. Saudi Arabia’s leadership continues to utilise all its capabilities to serve the Two Holy Mosques and offer the best services to their visitors,” the Emir stated, as quoted from the Saudi Gazette website, Wednesday (1/4/2026).
Prince Salman explained that the experience of Hajj and Ziyarah pilgrims constitutes a complete journey, rich in spiritual meaning, connected to the roots of this great religion and the depth of Islamic civilisation originating from this Holy Land.
