Paris (ANTARA) - French President Emmanuel Macron, on Wednesday (1/4), emphasised that his country was not involved in the military action taken by the United States (US) and Israel against Iran, while responding to allegations from US President Donald Trump, as reported by local media.

“It is indeed true that France, which was not consulted and is not part of the military offensive launched by the US and Israel, is not involved,” Macron said, as quoted by French news channel BFMTV.

Previously, in a post on his social media account, Truth Social, Trump claimed that France did not permit aircraft carrying military supplies destined for Israel to fly over French territory. Trump then described France as “very unhelpful” and warned that the US would “remember it”.

In response to these comments, the Élysée Palace reaffirmed France’s unchanged position.

“We confirm this decision, which is consistent with France’s stance from the beginning of the conflict,” the Élysée Palace stated.

France opposes the military operation launched by the US and Israel against Iran, stating that it “violates international law”.
