MacBook Neo Officially Launches; Apple's Cheapest Laptop Starts at Rp10 Million

Apple has expanded its laptop line with the MacBook Neo, the entry-level device positioned as the most affordable MacBook yet. The new MacBook Neo is priced from $599, or around Rp10.1 million (assuming Rp16,800 per USD). Apple claims the MacBook Neo delivers significantly better performance than other entry-level laptops. For everyday tasks such as browsing, typing documents, or streaming, performance is claimed to be up to 50 percent faster than popular PCs using the latest generation Intel Core Ultra 5. Users who frequently edit photos will notice up to twice the performance versus other entry-level laptops. In terms of memory, the MacBook Neo includes 8 GB of unified memory. The battery life is claimed to last up to 16 hours, making it suitable for daily activities with high mobility. Notably, unlike some latest MacBook generations, this notebook’s screen does not use a notch. Apple opts for a uniform bezel on all sides, similar to the iPad display, resulting in a tidier and more minimalist look. The color scheme is applied to the Magic Keyboard that accompanies the device. Weighing around 1.2 kilograms, the laptop is light and portable for study, work, and everyday activities.
