MacBook Neo Officially Arrives in Indonesia: Fresh Colours, Priced from Rp10 million
MacBook Neo officially arrives in Indonesia after its global debut in March. The latest Apple laptop went on sale on Friday (22 May) through official reseller Digimap, with prices starting from Rp10 million. The arrival of MacBook Neo marks a new line from Apple targeting younger users and the entry-level MacBook market. Colourful design is one of the key attractions. MacBook Neo comes in four fresh colours — Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver — and Apple has equipped the device with a slim, lightweight design. For the Indonesian market, the MacBook Neo 13-inch with 256 GB storage is sold at Rp10,749,000, while the 512 GB version is priced at Rp12,999,000. Farah Fausa Winarsih, GM Marketing, Apple Business PT MAP, said market enthusiasm for the new product is very high, noting that it is the most affordable MacBook yet. “This is the first time a MacBook is available at a more affordable price. So the target is definitely younger users,” she said. Farah added that MacBook Neo buyers are not limited to young people; many adults are also interested in using the device as a first entry into the MacBook world. “Some of our customers aren’t actually from the young segment, but they want to try the MacBook experience for the first time,” she said. The MacBook Neo launch was held simultaneously at two locations: Digimap Pacific Place Jakarta and Imaginaria Bali by Digimap. At the launch, Digimap again teamed with visual artist Muklay to present exclusive merchandise in the form of a special edition laptop sleeve. The sleeve features a cut-out design in the centre so the distinctive MacBook Neo colour remains visible when the device is stored. “The Digimap x Muklay MacBook Sleeve is given free to pre-order customers. It is also sold in limited quantities at select Digimap outlets. The design is very attractive and makes a great pairing with the MacBook Neo,” he said. ”
