MA Rachman appoints five deputies
JAKARTA: Attorney General M. Abdurrachman on Monday installed five new deputies, all career prosecutors, to help him with the mounting challenges facing his office.
Bachtiar Fachri Nasution, previously Junior Attorney General for General Crimes, is the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. He has filled the position vacated by Rachman, as the attorney general is known, since the latter's appointment to the number one post in August.
Haryadi B Widiasa, previously chief of the South Sumatra Prosecutors Office, is the new Junior Attorney General for General Crimes, replacing Bachtiar.
Suchri is the new Junior Attorney General for Guidance after spending some time working as secretary to the previous occupant of the position.
Basrief Arief, previously chief of the Jakarta Prosecutors Office, is the new Junior Attorney General for Intelligence. He replaces Khalid Karim Leo.
Achmad Lopa, the chief of South Sulawesi Prosecutors Office, is the new Junior Attorney General for Supervision. Achmad is the younger brother of Baharuddin Lopa, the attorney general who died earlier this year. -- JP
