M. Iskandar Kunaefi, Son of Late Major General, Rumoured to be Next CEO of Pos Indonesia
Jakarta – M. Iskandar Kunaefi is rumoured to be appointed as the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). The information remains unconfirmed and has not been officially announced by the Danantara Investment Management Agency or PT Pos Indonesia. If the rumour proves true, Iskandar would bring a lengthy professional track record in investment, infrastructure, and sports business management. He previously served as a member of the Investment Committee of PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP), a subsidiary of the Jakarta-owned enterprise Jakpro engaged in infrastructure and property development. Iskandar is also known for his role as Operational Director of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), the company that manages the Persib Bandung football club. In that capacity, he was involved in strengthening the company’s operations, business development, and fostering collaboration between the sports industry and the government as well as various stakeholders. His profile gained national recognition after he was included in Fortune Indonesia’s 40 Under 40 list, which features the country’s most influential young leaders. Iskandar is the son of the late Major General TNI Aang Kunaefi, who served as Governor of West Java from 1970 to 1975. Despite his family background, his career has been built through professional experience in investment, management, business transformation, and organisational development. If officially entrusted to lead PT Pos Indonesia, Iskandar will face the challenge of accelerating the company’s transformation amid increasingly fierce competition in the logistics industry. Strengthening digital services, operational efficiency, and logistics business development are expected to be key agenda items for the new leadership. As of this writing, no official announcement has been made by the government or PT Pos Indonesia regarding the appointment of M. Iskandar Kunaefi as President Director. The information therefore still awaits official confirmation from the shareholders.
