LX Pantos Accelerates Global Expansion by Acquiring Logistics Centre in Poland
Seoul, South Korea and Katowice, Poland, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - LX Pantos, a leading global logistics company (Global CEO: Lee Yong-ho), is accelerating its global expansion through strategic partnerships and infrastructure investments.
On 16 March, LX Pantos announced that a consortium including the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS No. 2 Fund, an investment fund under South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, has acquired a newly constructed logistics complex in Katowice, southern Poland, in a transaction valued at approximately USD 148 million.
The Katowice Logistics Centre consists of five buildings with a total floor area of 109,000 square metres. The complex is under development and will begin phased operations. Meanwhile, the finalisation phase is scheduled for the first half of 2026. Several global and local companies have signed lease contracts at the complex.
Through the Katowice Logistics Centre, LX Pantos will establish a logistics hub in Eastern Europe and expand services for key industries such as automotive components, consumer goods, and household appliances. This facility is also expected to serve as a logistics base supporting reconstruction needs in Ukraine once the rebuilding process begins.
Beyond Europe, LX Pantos is actively expanding operations in various major strategic markets, including the United States and Asia. In the United States, LX Pantos established Boxlinks LLC, a joint venture with Ocean Network Express (ONE), and acquired a large-scale logistics centre in Georgia with a land area of 304,769 square metres, equivalent to about 43 football pitches, to strengthen intermodal operations. In North East Asia, LX Pantos established FutureLinks with Sinotrans to expand China-Korea multimodal transport, as well as leveraging the rapid growth of the sea and air logistics market driven by Chinese e-commerce cargo.
“LX Pantos operates subsidiaries in 40 countries with more than 380 global networks, and provides integrated logistics solutions through sea, air, rail, and contract cooperation routes,” said Lee Yong-ho, Global CEO of LX Pantos. “Therefore, the Katowice Logistics Centre represents a strategic achievement in strengthening our presence in the European logistics market.”
