Jakarta – The investigation into a drug trafficking network involving Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, continues to develop. The Bareskrim National Police Criminal Investigation Unit has moved swiftly to apprehend two individuals believed to be key links in the illegal drug operation.

The two suspects are Charles Bernando and Arfan Yulias Lauw. Both were arrested in Teluk Naga, Tangerang, Banten on Saturday, 28 February 2026. Charles served as a liaison between Ko Erwin and Arfan, while Arfan is suspected of supplying methamphetamine to Ko Erwin.

“The operational team from Subdirectorate IV conducted follow-up investigations based on the initial examination of suspect Erwin Iskandar. The suspect had conducted a methamphetamine transaction purchased from Charlie,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi Susanto, Director of the Narcotics Crime Division at Bareskrim National Police, on Monday, 2 March 2026.

The investigation led police to an apartment unit at Tokyo Riverside Tower Beppu. The methamphetamine transaction allegedly took place in November 2025 on the 36th floor, unit 69. The Subdirectorate IV team forcibly entered the unit with apartment security personnel, resulting in Charlie’s arrest.

From the location, police seized evidence of significant value, including seven small plastic bags containing white powder suspected to be methamphetamine on a red Janji Jiwa cloth, one small bag of methamphetamine found in a wallet, an orange plastic bag containing two bags of methamphetamine, and one plastic bag containing ketamine.

Additionally, police discovered two containers suspected to contain “happy water,” a plastic box containing glass pipettes and matches, bottles and straws, bundles of white straws, approximately 300 empty yellow-orange capsules, plastic tubing approximately one metre in length, black plastic containing approximately 20 green gas lighters, a digital scale, and bundles of plastic bags in various sizes.

“According to Charlie’s statement, the items were taken from The Doctor, who was introduced by Arfan, who resides at Tokyo Riverside Tower Beppu, 33rd floor, unit 15. The team immediately pursued Arfan,” he stated.

Another suspect now being pursued is Ko Andre, also known as The Doctor. Police have placed him on the wanted persons list.
