This was conveyed during a visit to PT Borine Technology Indonesia in the Kendal Economic Zone (KEK). During the visit, Luthfi observed the company’s production processes and held discussions with its management. From the dialogue, it was learned that the production output is allocated for exports and to meet domestic needs. In terms of quality, the products match those produced by human resources (HR) in China or the company’s country of origin. “This means that as long as we have the intention to work, especially in Central Java, we can compete with other countries,” Luthfi said in a written statement on Wednesday (6/5/2026). Luthfi stated that HR competency is one of the main requirements for attracting investment to Central Java. The trust from PT Borine Technology Indonesia also supports economic growth in Kendal and Central Java. In fact, the company has invited six companies as raw material suppliers to enter Central Java. The investment value of PT Borine Technology Indonesia in phase 1 reaches USD 700 million. Currently, they have committed to expanding the factory in the KEK through phase 2 investment worth around USD 1.4 billion. The large investment value is proof that investors trust Central Java as a safe, stable, and competitive investment destination for global investors. Therefore, Luthfi emphasised that the trust from investors must be continuously maintained. All regional heads, including department heads, are asked to act as marketing managers to offer investment potential in their respective areas. On that occasion, Luthfi also listened to various inputs and shortcomings that need to be addressed together. One input from investors and KEK managers concerns the Kendal Port. In response to this input, his side will intensify coordination with Pelindo and the Ministry of Transportation to reopen the Kendal and Batang Ports and revitalise the Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang.
