Luky Alfirman Officially Appointed Deputy Finance Minister, Juda Agung Responds

Deputy Finance Minister Juda Agung has responded to the ‘comeback’ of Luky Alfirman to the Ministry of Finance as Deputy Minister.

“We already know that he has been with the Ministry of Finance for a long time. Based on his work there, I believe he masters many aspects, including budgeting; he has served in fiscal balance and has been part of the Directorate General of Budget,” Juda told reporters in Bogor on Thursday (10/01/2/2026).

Luky possesses a long-standing track record within the Ministry of Finance. He began his service in 1995 and held several strategic positions within the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), including Head of the Sub-directorate of Tax Potential, Head of the Organisation and Governance Division, Head of the Transformation Management Sub-directorate, and Head of the Jakarta Kebayoran Lama Pratama Tax Office.

In 2011, he was appointed Acting Head of the State Budget Policy Centre, before eventually becoming the Head of the Macroeconomic Policy Centre at the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF).

In 2015, he was tasked with serving as the Head of the Policy Analysis and Harmonisation Centre within the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Finance. Later, in 2017, he was appointed as an Expert Staff member for State Revenue Policy. In the same year, he was selected as the Director General of Financing and Risk Management.

His career continued to progress with his appointment as the Director General of Fiscal Balance in 2022, and finally, on 23 May 2025, he was inaugurated as the Director General of Budget.

Currently, Luky also serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Commissioners at the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

Luky Alfirman has been officially inaugurated as Deputy Finance Minister for the 2026-2029 period. Luky will assist Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara, alongside Deputy Minister Juda Agung, who was inaugurated a few months ago. Alongside Luky, Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman has also joined as Deputy Finance Minister.

Both were inaugurated today by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday (01/10/2026). Previously, Luky served as the Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance; however, he was removed from that position by Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in April 2026.
