Luhut States Iran is a Strong Nation with Underwater-Operated Drones

Jakarta – Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chair of Indonesia’s National Economic Council (DEN), commented on the conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran. He assessed that Iran constitutes part of the Aryan nation and therefore cannot be easily conquered.

This statement was made by Luhut during a report to President Prabowo Subianto at a Full Cabinet Session held at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Luhut initially highlighted US retaliatory strikes on Iran through Israel, noting that the United States had targeted several critical points in Iran.

“When we look at Operation Fury and the American strikes from Israel on Iran, they are targeting these points: disabling Iran’s air defence, reducing Iran’s capabilities, and so forth,” said Luhut.

Despite continuous attacks from the US, Luhut revealed that Iran remains undeterred. This is because the Iranian people are descendants of the Aryan nation. The Aryan people are recognised for their role as ancestors of Persia, Media and Persian civilisation, which shaped Indo-European cultural and linguistic identity and sophisticated civilisation in the Iranian plateau. They contributed to religious heritage (Zoroastrianism), literature, and rich architecture that influenced the region for thousands of years.

“I should also add, to the respect of those present in this meeting, that the Iranian nation is indeed an Aryan nation, and therefore is not easily conquered either,” he stated.

Iran’s strength is demonstrated by the sharp decline in missile targets. As Luhut revealed, half of those attacks were successfully destroyed by Iran.

“When we look at the next slide, the number of missiles deployed by Iran has declined sharply, because 50 per cent of the missile launches have reportedly been destroyed,” he said.

Meanwhile, Luhut indicated that the intensity of Iran’s drone attacks has also decreased. This is because the US has targeted drone factories and launch sites for bombardment.

However, he said, Iran possesses drones that operate from underwater. He claimed to have obtained this information from data sources at his disposal.

“I continue to see a decline because, based on data sources we have obtained, America is indeed targeting to destroy Iran’s factories, destroy its arsenals, and launch sites. From the sources we have, Iran’s drones are now also being developed with underwater drones,” he said.
