Luhut Reports to Prabowo: Iran Is Actually an Aryan Nation, Not Easily Conquered

Head of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan outlined the impact of conflict in West Asia or the Middle East on Indonesia’s economic conditions. Luhut characterised Iran as an Aryan nation whilst discussing the dynamics of the Tehran-United States-Israel conflict.

This was conveyed by Luhut during a Plenary Cabinet Session (SKP) at the State Palace on Friday (13 March 2026). Luhut stated that the public need not be overly concerned about the escalating situation in the Arab countries’ region.

“Allow us to report on developments in the Middle East conflict and its impact on our economy. We need not be excessively anxious about the situation there. If we observe Operation Fury—the US and Israeli strikes on Iran—they targeted disabling Iran’s air defence, undermining Iran’s capacity, and so forth,” Luhut told President Prabowo Subianto.

Luhut said Iran continued to face Operation Fury being intensified by the US and Israel. However, he argued that the Iranian nation was not easily conquered because it was fundamentally an Aryan nation.

“I also wish to add to the esteemed session participants that Iran is actually an Aryan nation, so it is not easily conquered either,” he said.

Luhut then continued by noting that the number of missiles launched by Iran against US and Israeli bases was beginning to decline. According to him, technological warfare is also being waged in the Middle Eastern conflict alongside conventional weapons warfare.

“If we observe the next slide, the number of missiles fired by Iran has dropped sharply; now 50 per cent of reported missile launches have been destroyed,” Luhut said.

“Do not forget that they manufacture missiles and drones that are inexpensive and can be launched from anywhere. However, artificial intelligence technology, as you have witnessed, is indeed advancing. So in my view, this is a war of technology and also the spirit to resist,” he said.
