Lufthansa boosts service
JAKARTA (JP): The German flag carrier Lufthansa will increase its service for the Jakarta-Frankfurt route from four to five times per week starting April 1.
The company announced yesterday that Lufthansa will operate Boeing B-747-400 aircraft, which will depart from Jakarta for Frankfurt on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Lufthansa will also connect Denpasar in Bali with Frankfurt via Singapore on Saturdays and Denpasar with Frankfurt via Bangkok on Sundays.
Lufthansa's general manager for Indonesia, Emmerich, said that in the next 12 months, the air carrier will increase its annual seat capacity out of Jakarta by 36 percent from about 74,000 to over 100,000. (icn)
