LSI Survey: 78.7 Percent of Public Satisfied with Prabowo Administration
Laboratorium Suara Indonesia (LSI) has released national survey data on the performance of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka ahead of the two-year mark of their administration.
Public trust in the performance of the Prabowo-Gibran government reached 78.7 percent. However, 18.2 percent of respondents representing the public expressed dissatisfaction, and 3.1 percent of respondents did not provide an answer.
“As many as 78.7 percent of the Indonesian public trust the Prabowo-Gibran government. This all serves as political capital ahead of two years of their leadership, so that the positive public perception can continue to be maintained by the government,” said LSI Executive Director Muhammad Riyad on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
Riyad added that amid global tensions and their impact on uncertainty across various aspects, whether economic or otherwise, the government has still managed to secure high satisfaction from the public.
This satisfaction stems from the government’s ability to stabilise economic conditions, according to 78.3 percent of respondents. However, 17.9 percent of respondents do not trust the Prabowo-Gibran government, and 3.8 percent of other respondents stated they did not know or did not answer.
“Approaching 80 percent public satisfaction and public trust achieved by Prabowo-Gibran during nearly two years of leadership, in this survey, is partly due to the current government’s ability to maintain economic stability amid global and geopolitical issues that have created uncertainty in almost all sectors,” Riyad added.
Quantitatively, another factor explaining the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the Prabowo Subianto–Gibran Rakabuming Raka government is its success in addressing existing problems.
As many as 77.8 percent of respondents said they were satisfied that the Prabowo government has succeeded in maintaining interfaith harmony. Meanwhile, 19.4 percent of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the maintenance of interfaith harmony, and 2.8 percent of respondents did not provide an answer.
Furthermore, 90.9 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance in maintaining security. Some 7.3 percent of respondents were dissatisfied with the government’s security performance, while 1.8 percent of respondents did not provide an answer.
Regarding the Prabowo-Gibran government’s performance in maintaining national unity, 89.4 percent of respondents felt satisfied, while 8.3 percent of respondents were dissatisfied, and 2.3 percent of respondents chose not to answer.
The survey also evaluated state institutions and democratic institutions. Some 77.6 percent of public respondents said they were satisfied with the performance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), followed by the President and Vice President (the presidential institution) at 78.1 percent satisfaction. Among law enforcement institutions, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recorded the highest public satisfaction at 72.9 percent, followed by the National Police (Polri) at 73.1 percent. The Attorney General’s Office recorded a public satisfaction figure of 68.2 percent in the survey.
