Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that there will be 11 stations connecting the Velodrome-Manggarai LRT to Dukuh Atas. Pramono mentioned that the Velodrome-Manggarai LRT will be inaugurated in August 2026. “The DKI Jakarta government has decided on the LRT from Velodrome to Manggarai, which will hopefully be inaugurated this August, with an investment of Rp 12.5 trillion and 11 station points, and we will connect it to Dukuh Atas,” Pramono said during the groundbreaking of the ‘doughnut bridge’ in Setia Budi, Sunday (21/6/2026). Pramono noted that the Dukuh Atas LRT Station will become a transit station. Once the doughnut bridge is completed, it will integrate many transport modes. “Thus, Dukuh Atas will have the MRT, LRT operated by both the DKI Jakarta government and the central government, the airport train, Transjakarta, and KCI. Six, right? Two LRTs. So there are six,” he explained. Pramono is confident that the construction of the doughnut bridge will improve residents’ comfort, especially as the area serves as a transit point for those using public transport in Jakarta. “This shows that if everything is well connected later, I believe Jakarta will become more comfortable and safer,” he said. Previously, Pramono decided to focus the Jakarta LRT extension from Manggarai towards Dukuh Atas. The decision adds approximately 2 km of track to complete cross-connectivity from Velodrome to the city centre. The decision was taken after the DKI Provincial Government considered input, suggestions, and the region’s fiscal capacity. Pramono explained that the extended LRT alignment will fully connect the Velodrome-Manggarai-Dukuh Atas route. “So yesterday I decided in a meeting, after receiving input, suggestions, considerations, and also the fiscal capacity of the DKI Jakarta government, that the LRT decision is an extension from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas to complete one line from Velodrome to Dukuh Atas,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (20/5).
