LRT Velodrome-Manggarai to Be Inaugurated in August, Connecting to Dukuh Atas

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that there will be 11 stations connecting the Velodrome-Manggarai LRT line all the way to Dukuh Atas. Pramono mentioned that the Velodrome-Manggarai LRT is set to be inaugurated in August 202cap 26.

“The Jakarta Provincial Government has decided that the LRT from Velodrome to Manggarai, which we hope will be inaugurated this August, involves an investment of Rp 12.5 trillion. It will consist of 11 stations, and we will connect it through to Dukuh Atas,” said Pramono during the launch of the ‘donut bridge’ in Setia Budi on Sunday (21/06/2026).

Pramono noted that the Dukuh Atas LRT Station will eventually serve as a major transit station. Furthermore, once the ‘donut bridge’ is completed, it will integrate numerous modes of transportation.

“As a result, Dukuh Atas will host the MRT, LRTs operated by both the Jakarta Provincial Government and the central government, the airport train, Transjakarta, and KCI. That makes six modes in total, with two being LRT lines,” he explained.

Pramono expressed confidence that the construction of the ‘donut bridge’ will enhance commuter comfort, especially as the area serves as a transit point for residents using various transport networks in Jakarta.

“This demonstrates that once everything is well-connected, I am certain Jakarta will become more comfortable and safer,” he added.

Previously, Pramono decided that the Jakarta LRT extension would focus on the route from Manggarai towards Dukuh Atas. This decision extends the line by approximately 2 km to complete the connectivity from Velodrome to the city centre.

The decision was made after the Jakarta Provincial Government considered various inputs, suggestions, and the region’s fiscal capacity. Pramono explained that the extended LRT route will ensure the Velodrome-Manggarai-Dukuh Atas line is fully connected.

“Therefore, following a meeting where I received various inputs, suggestions, considerations, and also assessed the fiscal capacity of the Jakarta Provincial Government, I have decided that the LRT extension will run from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas to complete the single line from Velodrome to Dukuh Atas,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (20/05).
