LRT Project Leads to Closure of Manggarai Transjakarta Stop Starting Today
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has announced that the Manggarai stop will be temporarily closed starting today, Wednesday (6/5), at 05:00 WIB, in connection with the continuation of the Lintas Raya Terpadu (LRT) Jakarta infrastructure project in the area. Head of Public Relations and CSR Department at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, explained that to maintain service smoothness, customers can still access Transjakarta services via Manggarai Temporary Stops 1 and 2, which are located on the roadside. Ayu stated that Transjakarta ensures operations continue normally, with adjustments to passenger boarding and alighting points around the Manggarai area. “This adjustment is part of Transjakarta’s support for the development of integrated public transportation,” Ayu said in a written statement on Wednesday morning. “We ensure that customers can still access services through the temporary stops that have been prepared,” she added. She mentioned that Transjakarta has also deployed field officers to assist customers during the adjustment period. “Nevertheless, Transjakarta services remain accessible via the temporary stops on the roadside for Corridor 4 Pulo Gadung - Galunggung, 4D Pulo Gadung - Kuningan, 6M Stasiun Manggarai - Blok M, and B25 Bekasi - Dukuh Atas routes, ensuring public mobility is maintained during the adjustment period,” she said. Manggarai Temporary Stop 1 is located on the side of Jalan Sultan Agung in front of the Manggarai stop. This stop is used for Transjakarta buses heading to Pulo Gadung. Meanwhile, Manggarai Temporary Stop 2 is on the side of Jalan Dr Saharjo in front of the Pasaraya Manggarai building. This stop is used for Transjakarta buses heading to Galunggung. Both temporary stops can be accessed via the pedestrian bridge normally used to reach the Manggarai stop.
