LRT Jabodebek Ridership Rises 23 Percent, Intermodal Integration Strengthened
The number of LRT Jabodebek passengers increased by 23 percent in the first half of 2026, reaching 16,018,911 people, as more residents turn to public transport for their daily activities. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) noted that a significant portion of these passengers continue their journeys using other modes of transport, such as the KRL Commuter Line, Whoosh High-Speed Train, Airport Rail Link, MRT Jakarta, and Transjakarta.
To support this mobility, LRT Jabodebek has provided directional signage and information screens at several stations that are integrated with other transport modes and activity centres. The company hopes this information will make it easier for passengers to switch modes without needing to consult multiple separate applications.
Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika stated that travel information is a crucial part of improving the public transport experience, especially for first-time users. The information displayed includes directions to the KRL Commuter Line, Whoosh, Airport Train, MRT, Transjakarta, and online ride-hailing pick-up points, presented concisely to help passengers decide on their next mode of transport quickly.
Data for the first half of 2026 shows Dukuh Atas Bank Syariah Indonesia Station as one of the busiest, with a monthly average of 409,347 tap-in passengers and 357,099 tap-out passengers. Cikoko Station recorded an average of 219,291 tap-in and 217,884 tap-out passengers per month, followed by Pancoran Station with 155,827 tap-in and 232,215 tap-out passengers.
Radhitya emphasised that a passenger’s journey does not end when they alight from the LRT, and easy access to onward travel information is a vital part of public transport service. By optimising these facilities, the company aims to help the public plan intermodal journeys more easily, save transfer time, and increasingly choose public transport for daily mobility.
