LRT Jabodebek Records Surge in Passengers, Dukuh Atas the Busiest
PT Kereta Api Indonesia recorded 7.75 million users of the LRT Jabodebek in the first quarter of 2026. This figure marks an increase of 1.4 million users compared to the same period in 2025, which stood at 6.3 million. The rise amounts to 22 per cent. LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika stated that this trend reflects changes in urban societal mobility patterns. “LRT Jabodebek has become one of the transport options for the public, offering punctuality, connectivity to central office activity locations, intermodal integration, and freedom from traffic jams,” Radhitya said in an official statement on Wednesday (8/4/2026). The average number of users on weekends reached 42,829 people per day. This figure increased by 6,875 users, or 19 per cent. Monthly trends showed relatively stable movement. January recorded 2.71 million users, then dropped to 2.53 million in February, and slightly further to 2.51 million in March. Five stations were the busiest during this period. These stations include Dukuh Atas, Harjamukti, Pancoran, Kuningan, and Cikoko. Kuningan and Pancoran stations are located in business and office areas. Both serve as main hubs for daily movements. Harjamukti station functions as access from buffer areas to the city centre. “The presence of these stations strengthens the integrated urban mobility ecosystem, while encouraging the public to switch to more efficient and sustainable public transport,” Radhitya remarked. “In the future, LRT Jabodebek will continue to strengthen its role in supporting urban societal mobility through reliable, integrated services oriented towards travel time efficiency,” he emphasised.
