LRT Jabodebek records 10 per cent drop in users on first day of civil servants' WFH
Jakarta (ANTARA) - LRT Jabodebek recorded a 10 per cent drop in the number of users on the first day of the implementation of the work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants on Friday (10/4). “This decline in LRT Jabodebek user volume is a direct impact of the WFH policy for civil servants, particularly during peak hours,” said LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika in a statement received in Jakarta on Saturday. On Friday (10/4), KAI served 106,301 LRT Jabodebek users. Meanwhile, on Thursday (9/4), there were 118,505 LRT Jabodebek users, a decrease of 12,204 users or about 10 per cent. Based on the data, the largest volume drop occurred at stations near offices and integration stations, such as Kuningan Station, which saw a decrease of 2,246 users, from 12,530 on Thursday (9/4) to 10,284 on Friday (10/4). Then, at Dukuh Atas Station, there was a decrease of 1,095 users, from 16,954 on Thursday (9/4) to 15,859 on Friday (10/4). The third station with the largest volume drop was Rasuna Said Station, with a passenger decrease of 1,052 people, from 7,621 users on Thursday (9/4) to 6,659 on Friday (10/4). Radhitya stated that LRT Jabodebek stations showing a user decline were those near government offices, such as Kuningan, Setiabudi, Rasuna Said, Cikoko, Pancoran, and others. Nevertheless, he added, to serve LRT Jabodebek users optimally, on Friday (10/4), KAI continued to operate the weekday pattern with 430 LRT Jabodebek trips. All station facilities and LRT Jabodebek staff remained fully prepared to ensure the comfort of LRT Jabodebek users. KAI is committed to continuing as an efficient, on-time, and integrated public transportation solution. “KAI will continue to support public mobility and ensure that every LRT Jabodebek journey prioritises safety and comfort for all users,” said Radhitya.
