Jakarta (ANTARA) - LRT Jabodebek will operate 270 trips per day during the long holiday from 1 to 3 May to accommodate increased public mobility and ensure that public transport services remain optimal and smooth. “During the long weekend holiday on 1–3 May 2026, KAI will optimise LRT Jabodebek services by operating 270 trips per day to support public mobility, which is expected to increase during the holiday period,” said LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday. He explained that with a network connected to various strategic areas in Jabodebek, the transport serves as an efficient public solution for the public to access office centres, shopping centres, residential areas, and recreational spots. “It is also integrated with other modes such as KRL Commuter Line, Airport Train, Whoosh high-speed train, MRT, TransJakarta, and other feeder services,” he stated. According to him, the long weekend provides an opportune time for the public to use more efficient and reliable public transport. During the long holiday period, Radhitya continued, travelling via LRT Jabodebek offers advantages in terms of time efficiency and comfort as it is free from traffic jams. “With a scheduled and monitored trip system, the public can travel with greater certainty,” he added. He mentioned that based on data as of Friday (1/5), the number of LRT Jabodebek users was recorded at 45,077 passengers. The stations with the highest number of users were Dukuh Atas with 7,840 passengers; Harjamukti 5,338; Cikoko (4,718); Bekasi Barat (3,845); Jati Mulya (3,160); TMII (2,204); and Kampung Rambutan 933 passengers. Meanwhile, on Saturday (2/5) until 14:00 WIB, 22,201 passengers were recorded. The stations with the highest number of users were dominated by Harjamukti 3,254 passengers; Jati Mulya (2,000); Cikoko (1,888); Dukuh Atas (1,863); Bekasi Barat (1,654); Cikunir 1 (1,652); and TMII: 901 passengers. “This reflects the public’s trust in LRT Jabodebek transport, which is efficient, affordable, and offers travel time certainty,” he said. In addition, LRT Jabodebek offers affordable fares with a maximum of Rp10,000, making it an economical choice for the public in planning trips during the long holiday. Amid the increased mobility, KAI urges all LRT Jabodebek users to maintain order and collective comfort during the journey. It also prioritises seating for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, users with toddlers, the elderly, and persons with disabilities; no eating or drinking while inside the train or station areas; no speaking loudly or turning on electronic devices with high volume; users are urged to use earphones; and no bringing prohibited items such as strong-smelling food, sharp weapons, animals, and other items that may disturb user comfort. KAI also ensures the operational readiness of LRT Jabodebek through integrated supervision and the presence of officers on the ground to maintain the safety, security, and smoothness of user travel during the long holiday period. Through connected, reliable, and affordable services, KAI invites the public to utilise LRT Jabodebek public transport as the primary choice during the long weekend, while supporting more efficient, punctual, and sustainable urban mobility.
