LRT Jabodebek Offers Rp8 Fare for Independence Day Celebration

A special promotion is being offered to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. On 17 August 2026, the public can enjoy LRT Jabodebek services for a fare of Rp8 as part of the independence celebrations and an effort to expand public access to public transport. Executive Vice President of LRT Jabodebek, Suryawan Putra Hia, stated that the special fare provides an opportunity for the public to experience the LRT Jabodebek service at an affordable rate during the Independence Day commemoration. “Through the Rp8 fare on 17 August 2026, we want to invite the public to utilise public transport while making the LRT Jabodebek journey part of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day celebration,” Suryawan said. In addition to the special fare, the Independence Day atmosphere will also be present at several stations and on LRT Jabodebek trains through red and white decorations. The presence of these ornaments is part of LRT Jabodebek’s effort to create a celebratory atmosphere for the public while using the service. “The independence momentum is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of togetherness. Through public transport services, we want to contribute to a travel experience that is not only safe and comfortable but can also be part of the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day,” Suryawan concluded.
