LRT Jabodebek Increases Morning Peak Hour Frequency Starting June 15
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has officially adjusted the LRT Jabodebek schedule by increasing travel frequency during the morning peak hour. The policy takes effect on Monday, 15 June 2026, to accommodate the high mobility of the public in the Jabodebek area.
The addition of weekday trips aims to provide greater flexibility and comfort for users in their daily activities. This strategic move was taken after KAI evaluated the trial operation of a special train conducted from 8 to 12 June.
LRT Jabodebek Manager of Public Relations, Radhitya Mardika, explained that the adjustment is a form of service adaptation to the rapidly evolving mobility patterns of users. “To improve comfort for LRT Jabodebek users during the very crowded morning period, KAI is adjusting the travel schedule by adding morning peak hour frequency,” said Radhitya.
The additional morning peak hour schedule applies to two main routes heading to Dukuh Atas BSI Station. The increase in morning frequency has resulted in adjustments to the operational pattern for evening trips. Despite these changes, LRT Jabodebek remains committed to operating a total of 430 trips every weekday. Schedules outside the specified morning peak and evening hours continue to run normally according to the previous timetable.
This measure is part of KAI’s ongoing efforts to deliver urban transport services that are safe, secure, and responsive. “KAI will continue to evaluate user travel patterns so that the services provided can become increasingly adaptive to the needs of urban communities,” concluded Radhitya.
