LRT Jabodebek Briefly Breaks Down at Cawang Station, Now Back to Normal

The Jabodebek LRT briefly lost power at Cawang Station this morning. PT KAI has apologised for the incident.

The LRT lost power on Wednesday (22/7/2026) at 07.43 WIB. Officers were conducting checks at Cawang Station on the train that had lost power.

“PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) apologises for the disruption to Jabodebek LRT services affecting one of its trains on Wednesday (22/7) at 07.43 WIB. Officers are currently inspecting the train at Cawang Station,” said Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for Jabodebek LRT, in a statement.

Passengers were asked to leave the train for safety reasons. They were then directed to disembark at Cawang Station to continue their journey on the next train.

“To ensure journey safety, officers directed passengers to transfer to the next train at Cawang Station. All officers on the ground were also deployed to assist passengers during the transfer process,” he said.

He said the incident caused delays of around 10 minutes. Jabodebek LRT operations have now returned to normal.

“KAI apologises for the inconvenience caused by this disruption. Passengers are advised to follow the instructions of officers on the ground and to obtain the latest information through Jabodebek LRT’s official channels,” he added.
