The Greater Jakarta LRT (Jabodebek) experienced a temporary disruption at Cawang Station this morning. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has apologised for the incident. The LRT broke down on Wednesday (22/7/2026) at 07:43 WIB. Officers were conducting checks on the affected train set at Cawang Station. “PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) apologises for the disruption to LRT Jabodebek services that occurred on one of the trains on Wednesday (22/7) at 07:43 WIB. Officers are currently inspecting the train set at Cawang Station,” said Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, in a statement. Passengers were asked to disembark from the train for safety reasons. They were then directed to alight at Cawang Station to continue their journey on the next available train. “To ensure travel safety, officers directed passengers to transfer to the next train set at Cawang Station. All field officers were also deployed to assist passengers during the transfer process,” he stated. He noted that the incident caused a delay of approximately 10 minutes. LRT Jabodebek operations have since returned to normal. “KAI apologises for the inconvenience caused by this disruption. Passengers are advised to follow the directions of officers on the ground and to obtain the latest information through the official LRT Jabodebek channels,” he added.
