Jakarta — The Jabodebek LRT is increasingly becoming a mainstay for daily mobility to Jakarta’s activity hubs and business districts. High morning usage shows this mode is increasingly relied upon by commuters from outer areas to the capital. Based on data for January to April 2026, peak Jabodebek LRT usage on weekdays occurred from 06:00–09:00 WIB. The majority of travellers are heading to Jakarta’s business and office districts. Harjamukti Station recorded the highest outbound station by number of users during work hours, averaging 6,224 users per day. This was followed by Cikoko with 3,432 users, Cikunir 1 with 3,274 users, Jatimulya with 2,786 users, and Jatibening Baru with 2,638 users per day. Meanwhile, Kuningan Station had the highest destination with an average of 8,976 users per day, followed by Pancoran with 7,166 users, Dukuh Atas with 6,587 users, Rasuna Said with 4,611 users, and Setiabudi with 4,532 users per day. Public Relations Manager for LRT Jabodebek, Radhitya Mardika, said most users travel in the 06:00–07:30 WIB window, dominated by workers and people active in Jakarta. He said the high number of users shows Jabodebek LRT is increasingly a preferred option because it offers a practical, comfortable, and integrated journey to activity hubs. To support mobility during the morning peak, KAI operates 430 Jabodebek LRT trips each weekday with headways adjusted during peak hours. On the Jatimulya–Dukuh Atas route, the first departures begin at 05:12 WIB. By 09:00 WIB there are 28 trips with a headway of around eight to nine minutes. On the Harjamukti–Dukuh Atas route, the first departures begin at 05:18 WIB with a total of 27 trips by 09:00 WIB and a headway of around eight to nine minutes. Radhitya urged the public to adjust their departure times to avoid congestion during the morning peak, especially during the period of highest mobility. He said the high morning mobility demonstrates the Jabodebek LRT’s growing role as a link between hinterland areas and Jakarta’s activity centres. KAI is also said to continue evaluating to deliver transport services that are safe, secure, and comfortable for urban communities.
