LPSK Reviews Protection Request for Confinement Victim in Bandung

The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) is reviewing a protection request from the family of a woman, identified by the initials YTR (29), who is a victim of alleged violence and confinement in Bandung Regency, West Java.

LPSK Vice Chairperson Sri Suparyonti stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that the review is being conducted to further identify the specific protection requirements for the victim and her family. “At this time, the application is undergoing review to better understand the necessary protection needs,” she confirmed.

LPSK has already provided emergency protection to the victim and has scheduled coordination with the dr. Hasan Sadikin Central General Hospital in Bandung.

Meanwhile, investigators from the West Java Regional Police arrested a suspect, identified by the initials TH, also known as Taufik Hidayat, at a relative’s house in the Griya Pesona housing complex, Ciparay, Bandung Regency, on Tuesday afternoon.

West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan stated that the suspect will be placed in a separate detention cell equipped with surveillance cameras and will remain under officer supervision.
