LPSK Reveals Child NS's Father in Sukabumi Is Gang Member During Parliament Meeting
The Deputy Head of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), Sri Suparyati, disclosed findings regarding the death of child NS in Sukabumi, allegedly caused by abuse from his stepmother. LPSK requested that authorities pay attention to the child’s father, identified as AS.
Sri stated that NS’s father is a gang member. She highlighted concerns about AS, who allegedly frequently threatened his ex-wife, Lisnawati.
“We also informed that Ibu Lisna’s ex-husband happens to be a gang member who, in my opinion, warrants further attention from the police. Particularly given the threats that Ibu Lisna has frequently received,” said Sri Suparyati during a General Hearing Meeting (RDPU) at Commission III of the House of Representatives in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday, 2 March 2026.
LPSK urged police to investigate the background of NS’s father. LPSK has long held information regarding violence inflicted upon NS.
“From interviews conducted by our team following the assessment, we obtained some information, including our suspicion and urge to the investigating police to check the background of Nizam’s father,” she stated.
She cited numerous allegations of violence committed by AS against his son, NS. LPSK reported that domestic violence had occurred when NS was very young.
“From the information obtained, the victim actually experienced violent acts from early childhood. This includes being burned with cigarettes, being splashed with water, and being submerged in a bathtub. So from childhood, the victim experienced such frequent violent acts, and not only against Nizam, but also against his mother Lisna,” Sri explained.
“We see that domestic and family violence has indeed been quite frequent, so it is not unreasonable to believe that what was conveyed by the Child Protection Commission should be examined more thoroughly,” she added.
