The Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) has called upon the customers of PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta in Badung Regency, Bali, to remain calm and avoid panic, as the institution is committed to processing deposit payments in a transparent, accountable, and rapid manner in accordance with applicable regulations.

“We urge the public, particularly the customers of BPR Pasarraya Kuta, to remain calm and not panic because the LPS is committed to processing the payment of deposits transparently, accountably, and quickly according to the prevailing rules,” said Damaiyanti Sakti, Director of the LPS Group Secretariat, in an official statement in Denpasar, Bali, on Friday.

She stated that the agency is currently preparing the process for deposit insurance claim payments and the liquidation of BPR Pasarraya Kuta. This follows the revocation of the bank’s business licence by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), effective from 17 September 2026, due to the management and shareholders’ inability to realise recovery efforts regarding capital and liquidity issues.

The LPS ensures that all deposit rights of customers at the bank, located on Jalan Raya Tuban Number 62, Tuban, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, will be paid in accordance with statutory provisions using LPS funds.

To determine the amount of deposits eligible for payment, the LPS is currently conducting a reconciliation and verification process of deposit data and other related information. This data matching process is targeted to be completed no later than 90 working days, or by 26 January 2027, with fund disbursements to customers being carried out gradually throughout this period.

Damaiyanti noted that following the official announcement by the LPS, customers can check the guarantee status of their deposits directly at the PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta office or via the official LPS website at www.lps.go.id.

Meanwhile, for debtors or borrowers at PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta, obligations for instalment payments or loan settlements can still be made at the local bank office in coordination with the liquidation team formed by the LPS.

Damaiyanti added that the public should not hesitate to keep their money in banking institutions, noting that many other BPR/BPRS and commercial banks continue to operate normally and all their deposits are guaranteed by the LPS.

“The LPS constantly reminds the public to always adhere to the ‘3T’ requirements to ensure their deposits are fully guaranteed, namely: the deposit must be officially recorded in the bank’s books, the interest rate must not exceed the LPS guarantee rate limit, and the customer must not have engaged in criminal activities that harm the bank,” said Damaiyanti.

For further information regarding the implementation of deposit insurance claims and the liquidation process of PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta, customers are advised to contact the LPS Information Service Centre (Puslinfo) via the 154 telephone line or WhatsApp at 08111-154-154.
