LPS Targets Asset Growth to Rp 303.5 Trillion by 2026
The Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) is targeting an increase in assets to Rp 303.5 trillion by 2026. This represents a significant rise from the 2025 figure of Rp 276.2 trillion. These figures are based on financial reports currently being audited by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK).
“Our latest position for 2025, with assets at Rp 276.2 trillion, is currently in the final stages of the BPK audit. For 2026, we are targeting an asset increase to Rp 303.5 trillion,” stated the Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, Anggito, during a Hearing with Commission XI at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Tuesday (19/05/2026).
Furthermore, Anggito noted that projected premium income for this year is also expected to rise to Rp 40.3 trillion, compared to the 2025 premium income of Rp 37.6 trillion. “We do not set specific revenue targets; however, to ensure greater credibility and health, we aim to reach 2.5% of Total Deposits (DPK) and provide non-tax revenue to the state,” he explained.
Previously, a Member of the Board of Commissioners for Deposit Insurance Programmes and Bank Resolution at LPS, Didik Madiyono, reassured the public that saving in banks remains the safest method for storing money, especially with LPS ready to guarantee customer funds. “Saving in banks is safe, and it is guaranteed by LPS,” Didik said during the LPS Financial Festival on Wednesday (06/08/2025).
According to Didik, LPS currently holds assets of up to Rp 250 trillion, with assets growing by approximately Rp 25-30 trillion annually. He noted that with these levels of surplus, the Indonesian financial system can be maintained in a safe and controlled manner, increasing banking customers’ confidence in the LPS.
