Surabaya (ANTARA) – The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) is focusing on handling BPR Prima Master Bank, whose operating licence was revoked by the authorities on 27 January 2026, through two measures: conducting the liquidation process for the bank and paying out deposit insurance claims to customers.

“This is in accordance with the duties and authorities as stipulated in Law No. 24 of 2024 concerning the Deposit Insurance Corporation,” said LPS Secretary Jimmy Ardianto in a statement received in Surabaya on Tuesday.

In carrying out the process of paying deposit insurance claims, LPS has announced the first-phase payment for 88 per cent of deposit accounts out of a total of 3,587 deposit accounts at this BPR on 2 February 2026.

The list of customers who have been included in this deposit claim payment can be viewed at the BPR Prima Master Bank office or on the LPS website.

Customers who have been included in the first-phase payment list can process the disbursement of their deposit claims at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) as the designated paying bank appointed by LPS.

Customers are requested to submit proof of account ownership, such as a savings book or passbook, and identification for individual customers in the form of an ID card/driving licence/passport, or for institutional/corporate customers in the form of the composition of the board of directors in accordance with the applicable legal and articles of association.

Customers who have not yet been included in the first-phase payment of deposit claims can wait for the announcement of the next phase of payment.

According to the law, LPS has a deadline of 90 working days from the date the bank’s operating licence was revoked to complete the process of verifying customer deposit data.

Meanwhile, he said that debtors or borrowers from BPR Prima Master Bank can still make instalment payments or full loan repayments by contacting the LPS Liquidation Team at the BPR office.

LPS also appeals to all customers of BPR Prima Master Bank to remain calm and not be provoked by parties who claim to be able to assist in the deposit disbursement process in exchange for certain rewards or fees.

Customers and related parties are also asked to support the liquidation process and the payment of deposit claims so that it can run smoothly and in accordance with the provisions of the law, he added.

For information, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) revoked the operating licence of PT BPR Prima Master Bank, located at Jalan Jembatan Merah 15-17, Surabaya, East Java, through the Decision of the Board of Commissioners of OJK No. KEP-9/D.03/2026 dated 27 January 2026.
