LPS Designates Rp18.6 Billion in Deposits as Eligible for Payout for BPR PN Customers
The Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) has designated Rp18.6 billion in customer deposits at PT BPR Pembangunan Nagari (PN), located in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, as eligible for payout following the revocation of its licence on 31 March 2026. “The amount designated as eligible for payout originates from 7,500 accounts belonging to 6,928 customers,” said Jimmy Ardianto, Head of the LPS Representative Office, in Padang on Friday. Jimmy stated that as of 31 May 2026, LPS had completed the status determination for 7,602 accounts owned by 7,011 customers, with a total nominal deposit value of Rp18,647,654,742. He further explained that LPS had made the first phase of guarantee claim payments within four working days of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) revoking PT BPR Pembangunan Nagari’s business licence at the end of March 2026. Meanwhile, customers have withdrawn deposits from 1,075 accounts, representing 14.69 percent of the total accounts deemed eligible for payout by the institution. “Thus, as of 31 May 2026, the value of guarantee claim payments has reached more than Rp14 billion,” he said. The claim payment process is still ongoing for customers who have not yet withdrawn their guaranteed deposits. Customers simply need to visit the paying banks appointed by LPS, namely BRI KCP Lubuk Basung, BRI Unit Pasar Tempurung, BRI Unit Ampek Nagari, BRI Unit Tiku, BRI Unit Lubuk Basung, and BRI Unit Tigo Nagari. He added that if customers encounter difficulties in withdrawing claims and require further information, they can visit the BPR Pembangunan Nagari office or contact the LPS call centre at 154. Separately, LPS has also designated Rp3.3 billion in customer deposits at PT BPR Sungai Rumbai, whose business licence was revoked on 7 April 2026, as eligible for payout. In more detail, as of 31 May 2026, LPS had completed the status determination for 1,944 accounts belonging to 1,909 customers with a nominal value of Rp1,816,832,599, or 55.34 percent of the total 3,513 accounts owned by 3,454 customers with total funds of Rp3,363,095,879. He stated that the institution had paid the first phase of guarantee claims within five working days of the licence revocation through the appointed paying banks, namely BRI Unit Sungai Rumbai and BRI Unit Pinang Makmur. As of 31 May 2026, customers had withdrawn deposits from 165 accounts belonging to 158 customers, or 8.49 percent of the total accounts deemed eligible for payout, with the total value of guarantee claim payments reaching Rp1.40 billion.
