LPS Appoints BNI as Claims Payment Bank for BPR Prima Master Bank
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) has appointed PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) as the designated payment bank to process deposit guarantee claims for customers of BPR Prima Master Bank, whose operating licence was revoked by authorities.
The appointment has been made to accelerate the fund disbursement process for customers included in the first phase payment list.
In a written statement on Thursday (26 February 2026), LPS Secretary Jimmy Ardianto stated that LPS is currently focused on handling BPR Prima Master Bank, whose operating licence was revoked by authorities on 27 January 2026.
LPS announced the first phase of deposit guarantee claim payments on 2 February 2026. In this phase, 88 per cent of deposit accounts from a total of 3,587 accounts at BPR Prima Master Bank have been designated for payment.
The list of customers included in the first phase payment can be viewed at BPR Prima Master Bank offices or through the official LPS website.
During the withdrawal process, customers are required to submit proof of account ownership, such as a savings book or deposit certificate.
For individual customers, identification documents must include an identity card (KTP), driving licence, or passport. For institutional or corporate customers, documents showing the board of directors’ composition in accordance with applicable legal requirements and articles of association are required.
Customers not yet designated for first phase payment are requested to await announcement of subsequent payment phases.
During the liquidation process, LPS also reminds borrowers and loan customers of BPR Prima Master Bank that they may continue making instalment payments or loan repayments. Such payments can be made by contacting the LPS Liquidation Team at the bank’s office. This is to ensure that borrowers’ obligations remain in effect according to regulations, even though the bank’s operating licence has been revoked.
LPS also urges all customers to remain calm and not be provoked by third parties claiming to assist the deposit withdrawal process in exchange for fees or other charges.
