Building a reputation and earning public trust is no easy matter for halal inspection agencies in Indonesia. Amid high public awareness of halal product assurance, issues of halal status clarity, public doubts about the halalness of culinary products, and the certification process for MSMEs are often hot topics of discussion.

The achievement of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Assessment Institute (LPPOM) in winning the Corporate Reputation award at the 2026 Indonesia Public Relations Awards (IPRA) underscores how crucial transparency and service consistency are in providing daily consumer reassurance. The award ceremony took place on 6 August 2026 at the Sapta Pesona Building, Balairung Soesilo Soedarman, Ministry of Tourism, Jakarta.

The award was presented directly by The Iconomics Founder & CEO, Bram S Putro, together with The Iconomics Director of Brand, Research & Strategy, Alex Mulya, to LPPOM President Director, Muti Arintawati. This recognition is seen as proof that LPPOM’s presence in society is not merely symbolic, but also provides legal certainty and peace of mind for millions of Indonesian consumers.

The award was purely the result of objective public assessment through nationwide research. “The award for the Corporate Reputation category was given based on online research involving thousands of respondents. Reputation assessment was conducted through three main parameters: Business & Commercial Reputation, People & Leadership Reputation, and Social & Citizenship Reputation,” said The Iconomics Director of Brand, Research & Strategy, Alex Mulya, in a written statement received by Republika on Monday (10/8/2026).

Responding to this achievement, LPPOM President Director, Muti Arintawati, said the institution’s reputation is closely linked to its moral responsibility to the wider public. “We are grateful and appreciate this 2026 Indonesia Public Relations Awards. LPPOM’s success in winning the Corporate Reputation category is not only about communication achievements, but also a reflection of public trust built through a long journey, service consistency, competence, and LPPOM’s contribution to the halal ecosystem,” said Muti.
