LPG truck explodes, six injured

INDONESIA: A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank truck exploded late Friday in Citerep subdistrict in Serang regency, severely burning six people. The six people are employees of LPG Refilling Station in Citerep, Banten province. They have been identified as Ade, Jamal, Arya, Maman, Sidik and Marta.

They were rushed to the hospital.

Witnesses said that the incident occurred when Ade and Arya were repairing an LPG tank with an electrical device when a spark ignited the gas tank.

A Mitsubishi pickup parked next to the truck was also destroyed in the explosion. -- Antara
