LPG tanks

LPG tanks

From Bisnis Indonesia

I moved to Jakarta from Bengkulu about four years ago. In
Bengkulu a 12 kilogram cylinder of gas lasted an average of 11
days. Yet in Jakarta a cylinder of gas only lasts seven days,
sometimes only five.

Being anxious, I examined our gas stove and found that
everything was OK and there was no leak. I decided to buy a
regulator and gas meter which cost me Rp 173,000. The meter
indicated that the next cylinder I bought contained only eight
kilograms of gas.

A cylinder should have two seals, but I often find that the
inner seal is broken while the outer seal is intact. I usually
buy my gas at a shop near my complex in Pamulang, Tangerang. A
cylinder of gas costs Rp 12,000 and is supposed to contain 12
kilograms of gas. This means that I lose about Rp 4,000 per
cylinder. Can Pertamina explain this?
