Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Pertamina (Persero) is adjusting the prices of non-subsidised Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in 5.5 kg and 12 kg sizes, effective from 18 April 2026. However, the price of subsidised 3 kg LPG is assured to remain unchanged.

Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, explained that the price adjustment for these non-subsidised products is intended to maintain a balance between international market conditions and the sustainability of domestic energy supply.

“The adjustment to the prices of non-subsidised LPG (Bright Gas) in 12 kg and 5.5 kg sizes from 18 April takes into account developments in global energy prices and the rupiah exchange rate, as well as to ensure the sustainability of energy supply,” he stated to CNBC Indonesia, quoted on Monday (20/4/2026).

Baron elaborated that over the past few years, the company has endeavoured to keep prices stable despite rising trends in the international market. The current price increase decision has been evaluated against market dynamics.

“For several years, Pertamina has maintained stable prices amid the upward trend in international market prices, so this adjustment is a measured step that considers the prevailing conditions,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pertamina assures that the supply of subsidised 3 kg LPG cylinders will continue normally with stable prices. The company urges capable members of the public to use non-subsidised products so that government energy subsidies are more effectively targeted.

“Pertamina assures that 3 kg subsidised LPG will continue to be distributed on target and urges the public who can afford it to use non-subsidised LPG so that subsidy allocation can be more effective and benefit those who are entitled,” he concluded.

According to Pertamina Patra Niaga’s official website, the applicable prices for Java, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara show the 5.5 kg LPG increasing by Rp 17,000 to Rp 107,000 per cylinder.
