LPG price hike bemoaned

Though we only eat salted fish as a side dish, still we have to deal with the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) price increase. Given the other price hikes, which have made food more expensive, the higher LPG prices make things even worse. That's what my mother complains about.

Such grievances are only proper. She is a civil servant who earns Rp 840,000 a month, while she has to support her family on her own and pay for my school fees.

Therefore, I sincerely hope that state-owned oil & gas company Pertamina can review its decision on the LPG price rise, which has placed a considerable burden on most housewives.
