LPG Gas Stock in Cimahi City Assured, Here's the Monthly Quota
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIMAHI – The Deputy Mayor of Cimahi, Adhitia Yudisthira, has assured the availability of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), or 3kg LPG gas, in the area is secure amid threats of an energy crisis due to the war in the Middle East region involving Iran with the United States and Israel. “For Cimahi residents, there’s no need to panic, especially panic buying, there’s no shortage of stock. Insya Allah, the Middle East escalation issue won’t impact LPG gas or be related to LPG gas,” said Adhitia when confirmed, Friday (27/3/2026). Based on data from the Department of Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs, and Industry (Disdagkoperind) of Cimahi City, the quota for 3kg LPG gas for Cimahi City reaches 19,059 metric tons. If converted, the subsidy gas allocation received by Cimahi City is 529,416 cylinders per month. The Head of the Trade Division at Disdagkoperind of Cimahi City, Indra Bagjana, added that the prepared stock so far is still sufficient to meet the gas needs of Cimahi residents. Thus, the Cimahi City Government has not received reports of shortages in the midst of society. “For the stock, alhamdulillah, it’s still maintained, no shortages or disturbances in the midst of society,” said Indra. He described the stock of 3kg LPG gas in the last month amid the turmoil in the Middle East region. Before the holy month of Ramadan, said Indra, the availability of ‘si melon’ gas was quite abundant as anticipation of increased demand from the public. Then, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026, facultative distribution was prepared to anticipate the rise in demand during that Eid holiday. Thus, the stock of 3kg LPG gas needs remains fulfilled up to now. The Cimahi City Government continues to coordinate with related stakeholders such as the National Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs (Hiswana Migas) and agents. “Even yesterday, there was an overflow exceeding needs. The point is, for stock, we anticipate certain moments. So the quota keeps flowing,” said Indra.
