Jakarta — Indonesia’s Downstream Oil and Gas Distribution Body (BPH Migas) has projected an increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) consumption during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026, with consumption expected to rise by approximately 4%.

Erika Retnowati, head of the National Command Post for the Energy Sector during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026, stated that domestic LPG availability is expected to remain stable throughout the holiday period, despite the anticipated 4% consumption increase compared to normal usage levels.

“LPG distribution projections during the command post period are expected to rise by approximately 4% compared to the average normal distribution,” Erika said at a press conference for the opening of the National Command Post for the Energy Sector RAFI 2026 at BPH Migas headquarters on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

To meet anticipated demand, Erika confirmed the availability of LPG supplies, with 40 LPG terminals, 757 distribution points (SPBE), and 6,662 LPG agents on standby.

“Forecasts indicate that LPG stock resilience is in a safe condition and LPG supply will be maintained at stable levels throughout the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods,” she added.
