JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) is considering the possibility of publishing the names of alumni scholarship recipients who do not fulfil their service obligations in Indonesia on its website.

LPDP Director General Sudarto warned LPDP scholarship alumni to remain committed to completing their service obligations after completing their education.

“We are also considering this… publishing the names of these non-compliant alumni on the LPDP website. We are currently considering this,” Sudarto said during a media briefing at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (25/2/2026).

Furthermore, posting the names of non-compliant LPDP alumni on the LPDP’s official website is being considered to encourage other LPDP alumni to commit to and fulfil their obligation to serve in Indonesia.

Moreover, for LPDP recipients, service is an absolute requirement because during their studies, the taxes collected by the state from the public are used to fund the awardees.

“This is once again, providing us with the momentum to make improvements,” he added.

According to LPDP records as of 31 January 2026, of the total 32,876 LPDP alumni examined, 307 have received permission for internships or further studies, 172 are working in accordance with LPDP regulations, 36 are under investigation for alleged violations, and 8 have been sanctioned for failing to fulfil their service obligations in Indonesia.

Previously, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa spoke out and expressed regret over the viral post by Dwi Sasetyaningtyas (DS) regarding her child receiving citizenship from the British government.

Purbaya stated that he would blacklist the individual so that they would not be able to work in the government sector.

This is a consequence of DS’s actions, which Purbaya considered an insult to the country.

“I will blacklist her in the entire government, she will not be able to work,” Purbaya said during the February 2026 APBN KiTa press conference, Jakarta, Monday (23/2/2026).
