Yogyakarta (ANTARA) — The Revolving Fund Management Agency for Co-operatives (LPDB) is preparing to introduce innovative credit scoring in 2027 to speed up assessments of financing for co-operatives and improve the accuracy of evaluations of applicants’ eligibility for funding.

LPDB President Director Krisdianto said the innovation was being developed to move the financing acquisition process, which has so far tended to be manual, towards an integrated, data-based system.

“We will use technology for credit scoring so that we can speed up the process and remove human subjectivity, with the aim of providing better service than before,” Krisdianto said at an LPDB media gathering in Yogyakarta on Monday.

With credit scoring, LPDB aims to reduce financing assessments—which previously took a relatively long time—to a matter of minutes. The system is also expected to reduce application queues and provide management with more comprehensive analytical data for decision-making.

LPDB is still refining the system, particularly by testing its assessment criteria and measuring financing risks. Krisdianto said its development required care because the revolving funds managed by LPDB come from the state budget, meaning their disbursement must adhere to the principles of prudence and accountability.

At the same time, the assessment criteria need to be designed so they are not too rigid, preventing co-operatives that qualify for financing from being held back by an inflexible scoring system.

LPDB is targeting 2027 for the technology’s implementation, with the aim of accelerating services and extending financing to co-operatives in various regions.

Cumulatively, from 2008 to October 2026, LPDB recorded Rp22.9 trillion in financing disbursements to 3,929 partner co-operatives across 36 provinces, with 537,678 people as end beneficiaries.

In 2026, financing disbursements had exceeded Rp1.6 trillion across 22 provinces, involving 115 co-operative partners, against an annual target of Rp2.1 trillion.
