LPDB Koperasi Marks 20th Anniversary with Social Assistance for Elderly at Care Home
Marking its 20th anniversary, Lembaga Pengelola Dana Bergulir (LPDB) Koperasi shared with elderly residents at Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 3 in South Jakarta. LPDB distributed various health and hygiene support items for the residents, management, staff, and carers.
LPDB Koperasi President Director Krisdianto said this year’s anniversary theme, ‘20 Years for Indonesian Cooperatives’, is not only understood as the institution’s journey in strengthening cooperatives but also as a momentum to expand social benefits for the community.
“Twenty years is a long journey. For LPDB Koperasi, this achievement must be accompanied by care for others. Therefore, we want to celebrate the 20th anniversary by sharing happiness and delivering tangible benefits for the elderly who have been an important part of this nation’s journey,” Krisdianto said in a written statement on Friday (21/8/2026).
According to Krisdianto, the spirit of cooperatives is fundamentally one of mutual cooperation and togetherness. These values form the foundation of LPDB Koperasi in carrying out its role, both through revolving fund financing and through social activities that directly touch the needs of the community.
He expressed hope that the assistance provided would help meet the daily needs of the care home residents while also serving as a form of attention from the LPDB Koperasi family.
“This assistance may not be able to replace all existing needs, but we hope it can provide comfort, happiness, and show that the elderly are not alone. They remain part of our shared concern,” he said.
In this activity, LPDB Koperasi handed over social assistance in the form of cleaning equipment, medicines, health equipment, elderly care supplies, care home operational needs, as well as 360 boxed meals and 360 snack packages.
Krisdianto explained that the Social and Charity activity is one of the main agendas in the series of LPDB Koperasi’s 20th anniversary, which carries the tagline #MelangkahLebihMaju.
According to him, the intended step forward is not only related to improving institutional performance but also to increasing social contribution to the community.
“Through this activity, we want to convey the spirit that an institution’s progress must go hand in hand with social concern. Cooperative values are not only about economics but also about solidarity, togetherness, and usefulness,” he said.
He added that all assistance distributed had been tailored to the needs of the care home, ranging from health and hygiene needs to consumption for residents and staff.
The activity also served as a space for fellowship between LPDB Koperasi personnel and the care home residents. A warm and family-like atmosphere marked the handover of assistance, which was followed by direct interaction with the elderly.
Meanwhile, Head of the Implementing Unit for the Development of Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 3, Duriah Tulaliah, expressed appreciation and gratitude for LPDB Koperasi’s concern for the elderly.
“We express our deepest gratitude for LPDB Koperasi’s concern for the elderly. This social assistance is very beneficial for them. As management, we certainly welcomed the news that this social assistance activity would take place,” said Duriah Tulaliah.
Duriah also expressed hope that LPDB would be increasingly successful in providing services and benefits to the community, and that its performance in supporting the national economy through cooperatives would continue to improve.
For LPDB Koperasi, the two-decade milestone is not merely a marker of the institution’s age. Through this activity, LPDB aims to affirm that the existence of a cooperative financing institution must also bring tangible social impact, in line with the spirit of ‘20 Years for Indonesian Cooperatives’ and the commitment to continue #MelangkahLebihMaju.
