LPDB Introduces Cooperative Coaching Clinic at RI Cabinet Seruni Event, Featuring Selvi Gibran and Sita Juliantono
Pontianak, VIVA – The Revolving Fund Management Agency (LPDB) for Cooperatives under the Ministry of Cooperatives participated in the “Heritage in Motion: Collective, Culture, Craft & Culinary” event organised by Solidaritas Perempuan untuk Indonesia (Seruni) of the Merah Putih Cabinet alongside the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) in Pontianak, West Kalimantan Province.
LPDB-KUM’s participation was embodied through the provision of a Coaching Clinic booth as a medium for education, consultation, and dissemination of information to the public and cooperative actors regarding revolving fund financing services, cooperative institutional strengthening, and strategies for developing community-based businesses leveraging local potential.
The presence of the LPDB-KUM Coaching Clinic booth garnered direct attention from the Seruni Merah Putih Cabinet mentor, Selvi Gibran Rakabuming, who inspected the LPDB-KUM service area during the event. During her visit, Selvi directly observed the consultation and education services provided to the public on access to financing and cooperative strengthening.
The event, held at the West Kalimantan Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office, served as a strategic momentum to strengthen the cooperative and MSME ecosystem, particularly in the creative industry sector based on textiles, crafts, and local cuisine in West Kalimantan.
The President Director of LPDB-KUM, Krisdianto, stated that LPDB-KUM’s presence at the Seruni event represents tangible government support in expanding access to financing while enhancing cooperative capacity to become more competitive and serve as a driving force for the community’s economy.
According to him, cooperatives not only function as economic institutions but also as vehicles for community empowerment that can connect cultural potential, creativity, and local economy into sustainable development strengths.
Through the Coaching Clinic booth, LPDB-KUM provided direct consultation services on the mechanisms of revolving fund financing, up to initial assistance for cooperatives seeking to access LPDB-KUM financing.
LPDB-KUM hopes that the presence of this coaching clinic service can increase public literacy on modern cooperatives and open broader collaboration opportunities for cooperatives and MSMEs in West Kalimantan to level up and connect with the national financing ecosystem.
This event also forms part of LPDB-KUM’s commitment to supporting the government’s priority programmes in strengthening cooperatives as the main pillar of an inclusive, productive, and sustainable people’s economy.
