Loud Explosions Shake Tel Aviv Following Wave of Iranian Missile Attacks
Several loud explosions were heard in Tel Aviv, according to reports from RIA Novosti correspondents, after the Israeli military detected the latest wave of missile attacks from Iran on Monday (8/6/2026). Prior to the explosions, air raid sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and Israel following reports of the Iranian missile barrage. The explosions were reported to be related to the activity of Israel’s air defence systems. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties resulting from the missile attack.
Earlier on Monday, air raid sirens also sounded in Haifa and northern Israel. Israeli forces stated they had detected a missile launched from Iran, prompting the activation of air defence systems to neutralise the threat. On 7 June, Iran launched several missiles towards northern Israel. This attack took place several hours after Tehran stated that Iran would retaliate against recent Israeli strikes on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The Israeli military had previously claimed to have conducted strikes against military targets in central and western Iran, prompting Iran to launch its retaliatory strikes against Israeli territory.
