Lots of cheap books

JAKARTA (JP): Hundreds of book publishers, roadside book
sellers and student cooperatives will meet to hold a big book
sale at the National Monument square on June 14 and June 15.

Sponsored by the Association of Indonesian Publishers (IKAPI),
the sale is to encourage reading the organizing committee's
chairwoman, Upi T. Sundari, said.

"People can buy cheap books from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.," she said.

Upi said the sale was decided on at a recent one-day dialog
between IKAPI and the press. (sur)
