Bekasi – Total losses suffered by dozens of residents due to the fire at the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) in Cimuning Village, Mustikajaya Subdistrict, Bekasi City, are estimated to reach billions of rupiah.

Mustikajaya Subdistrict Head, Maka Nahrowi, stated that based on data submitted by RT and RW administrators, dozens of families were affected by the incident.

“The RT and RW officials have submitted data on the affected residents. The total submitted is around 41 households. That amounts to about Rp 7 billion,” Maka said when confirmed by Kompas.com via telephone on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Currently, the data verification process has been carried out and is still in the discussion stage between the SPBE party and the local government.

“It has been verified between SPBE and the SPBE party. They are currently discussing with their side first. And possibly later, we will hold a meeting through PASDA 1 and the Mayor,” he said.

In addition to the compensation issue, Maka said that residents also requested that the gas storage facility, which has a capacity of around 39 tonnes, be relocated immediately to prevent potential hazards in the future.

“I have communicated with the SPBE party and the police from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Regency Police, so that the gas still there can be moved,” he said.

He added that a team from Pertamina has inspected the location together with village and subdistrict officials to ensure technical readiness before the relocation process is carried out.

Previously reported, a major fire engulfed the Cimuning SPBE on Wednesday night (1/4/2026).

The incident affected dozens of residents, with several victims suffering serious burns, fatalities, and undergoing treatment in hospitals.

In addition to residents’ homes, the fire also damaged several other facilities, including the SPBE area of around 2,000 square metres, two kiosks, one scrap stall, one fried rice stall, one mushalla with minor damage, and one coffee shop.
